How do I know what type of bike to buy ?
As you can see from the bike pages we've got a range of bike models to suit every type of cycling. Your best bet is to come in and take a look.We will explain the differences and have you take a test ride if you want, so you can can experience the different types of bikes available. In helping you make a selection, we need to know how you'll use the bike and where you'd like to ride.
It would be great to know approximately how much you want to spend. If you're not sure, think about where you would like to ride and ask your cycling friends, the cyclist in your family and cycling colleagues where they prefer to ride and what type of bike they ride for those conditions. If your intention is to ride with any of these people you will want to be on something similar to what they are riding.
What's the advantage in wearing bike shorts ?
If you're just mucking around on your bike, riding to the dairy or over to a mate's house your regular shorts might just do the job. If you go any further or longer you will be much more comfortable in a pair of bike shorts. Bike shorts are seem less for comfort and are great for wicking away moisture and reducing friction.
They have a sown in a pad which cushions shock and aids in preventing chafing and discomfort. Cycling shorts are worn without underwear because underwear causes the same problems as ordinary outer shorts due to there seams. There are baggy short options available with comfort pads for those that can't see themselves in skin tight lycra.
